The "Associació Catalana de Rugby Lliga"

Framed by the rugby XIII spectacularity that we could enjoy seeing the match of the north catalan team of the Dragons Catalans from Perpinyà, we decided to take the step and create the Associació Catalana de Rugby Lliga.

L'Associació Catalana de Rugby Lliga, entity with its own legal personality, was born from the necessity of organizing the sport of rugby XIII or rugby league in Catalonia (both are right), because until now there wasn’t any association or entity regulating this noble sport.

The aim of the association is to develop, encourage, spread and promote the rugby XIII in our house.

One of the first aims was to get organized the first official competition of rugby XIII in Catalonia (out of the North of Catalonia). In May 2008 the first Catalonia Cup competed and the aim now is to consolidate an stable league of rugby XIII in our country.
