The
Catalans Dragons is the team number one of the rugby XIII in the North of Catalonia and in the French state. It was born in 2000 from the two emblematic clubs merger, the XIII Català and the Sant Esteve, it takes part in the Super League, the maximum competition in this sport in Europe. Since 2006 is the firt club not english that plays in this competition, that in the future has planned to be open other continent’s teams.

Apart from making the effort to belong to a competitive team of the maximum european competition, the Catalans Dragons bet clearly in favour of the catalan club. It is the only club of the Super League that takes a village name and does not have a city name. Every match the national anthem of Catalonia is played, "Els Segadors", and the catalan language is always used by the stadium public-address system.
The club has an exterior projection very important: all the matches are broadcasted by the Sport channel +, and often there are reports in Sky TV and in the BBC. Last year, for example, there was the first match transmission of the season in France, Great Britain, Australia and New Zealand.
The club’s fans are growing up every day and the number of members is more than three thousands, with an usual attendance in the stadium of more than seven thousands spectators.
